The Man Behind the Site

I am a professional Web Developer located in Henderson/Las Vegas, Nevada where I work for Beyond Commerce. Since February 2008, I have contributed to their social network, e-commerce, and local advertising products throughout their evolution.

My specialty is Object-Oriented PHP in the Kohana and Zend frameworks, with MySQL queries to deliver the data. I also have experience in a multitude of scripting and programming languages, including Perl, Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, and have recently picked up Objective C 2.0 to dive into iPhone and iPod touch application development. I earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Multimedia Drafting and Design from ITT Technical Institute, and worked as a graphic designer for about a year. I did contract work for a series of companies as a one-stop development shop, but decided to make the transition to full-time programming, as I realized that it was my preference over design.

I spend time writing bots and spiders for work and play, and also enjoy building Linux Servers and Desktop machines for multiple platforms. I never met an operating system I didn't like, and currently, Ubuntu, Vista, and Mac grace my desktop in various forms.

Music is another passion of mine, and I dedicate a fair portion of downtime to playing guitar and writing songs. You can view/listen to some of my songs and lyrics by clicking 'Music' in the main menu.
